Duties

Lead product development for enterprise financial forecasting platforms that generate machine-learning-based forecasts for multiple business metrics, including net sales, merchandise sales, operational units, and fulfilled orders across base channels, merch channels, and marketplace channels. Translate complex and varying requirements from Finance, Merchandising, and Operations stakeholders into scalable product specifications, accounting for differences in how each function consumes forecasts (e.g., base-channel views for Finance and merch-channel views for Merchandising). Manage forecasting outputs across multiple dimensions, including metric, channel, and department/category hierarchies, ensuring consistency and reconciliation across 60+ departments and 2000+ categories used for business planning. Partner with data science teams to define requirements for machine-learning models, including input signals (e.g., historical performance, operational drivers), forecast outputs, validation frameworks, and feedback loops to improve accuracy and adoption. Design and maintain channel mapping logic across multiple channel hierarchies (e.g., base channels, merch channels, and demand channels), ensuring accurate aggregation, disaggregation, and alignment of forecasts across Finance and Merchandising use cases. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Finance leaders, Merchandising department heads, category planners, Data Science, and Engineering teams to align forecasting outputs with planning cycles, operational workflows, and business decision-making processes. Develop business cases and quantitative frameworks to evaluate forecast accuracy, financial impact, and return on investment, including defining KPIs and monitoring variance between forecasted and actual performance across segment, SBU, and department levels to support financial planning and performance management. Drive the transition from manual, Excel-based forecasting and reporting processes to automated, governed forecasting systems, improving scalability, auditability, and consistency across enterprise financial and operational planning.
