Job summary

Boston Dynamics is seeking a Product Manager for Spot to design, build, and ship end-to-end robotic solutions across software, hardware, services, and go-to-market plans. You will manage enterprise hardware product initiatives for Spot, collaborating with engineering, design, sales, marketing, and customer teams in a fast-paced environment.

As a Product Manager for Spot, you help design, build, and ship Boston Dynamics’ end-to-end robotic solutions, including software and hardware features, service offerings, and go-to-market plans. In this role, you will manage the enterprise hardware product initiatives for Spot and its ecosystem. This offers a rare opportunity to manage a highly successful product through its lifecycle evolution and gain broad, hands-on exposure while collaborating closely with engineering, design, sales, marketing, and customer-facing teams.You’ll help drive component enhancements, manage EOLs, gather and refine requirements, contribute to roadmap planning, and support execution from concept through launch. Over time, you’ll have the opportunity to grow in responsibility in a way that aligns best with your strengths and interests. The successful Product Manager in this role is curious, organized, and eager to learn; ready to define the tactical initiatives that deliver against the strategic plan. This role sits at the intersection of many teams, balancing the needs of internal and external stakeholders to deliver the best results for our customers. Now we are quickly becoming a recognized leader in automation solutions for industrial applications and warehouse logistics.Day to day activities:Gather and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to identify product gaps, validate hypotheses, and inform requirementsRigorously prioritize features versus sustaining initiativesWork directly with customers (remotely and on-site) to understand workflows, pain points, and success criteriaWork directly with supply chain and operations teams to creatively approach problems and develop sustainable solutionsSupport prioritization across competing initiatives by analyzing impact, effort, risk, and customer valueReview product usage data and metrics to assess feature performance and inform iteration and pivotSupport the development of business plans, pricing models, service plans, and other go-to-market components critical to scaling our quadruped solutions in partnership with senior PMs and GTM teamsDesired skills:Minimum 2 years of experience as a product manager or in a relevant industry or in a relevant academic programProven ability to conduct comprehensive market research, including segmentation, sizing, and competitive landscape assessmentsConceptual understanding of market dynamics and product-market fitsExceptional ability to synthesize complex data sets into clear, actionable market insights and recommendationsComfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments typical of early-stage commercial companiesHigh level of curiosity, drive and autonomyExcellent skills in collaboration, prioritization, documentation, and communicationExperience in supply chain management, operations, hardware development, and/or product commercialization is strongly preferredFluency in multiple languages is a plusTravel:Occasional travel to customer sites and regions of interestOtherwise, this role is expected to be onsiteWe are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas for this position.The base pay range for this position is between $135,000 to $165,000 annually. Base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors including, but not limited to internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience. This range represents a good faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
