Ironclad is seeking a Staff Product Designer to shape how legal and business teams experience contracts end to end. You will lead design across complex product areas, from core contracting workflows to AI-powered experiences that help customers find information, make decisions, and move work forward.
You will balance strategic vision with hands-on execution, influence product direction, and establish scalable design patterns that improve adoption, cycle time, and quality across the CLM platform.
A track record of mentoring designers, improving the practice, and leading through influence rather than authority
Experience with contract lifecycle management, legal technology, document AI, knowledge graphs, or enterprise workflow software is a plus, not a requirement
8+ years designing digital products, including several years working on complex B2B or enterprise software.
You have led at least one systemic, end‑to‑end initiative that changed a measurable product or business outcome
Experience designing AI-powered experiences, agentic workflows, search, data‑rich products, or other systems where trust, explainability, and human control matter.
You can make complex technical concepts understandable and useful for customers
Comfort working at engineering pace: prototyping in days, iterating in public, using AI-native tools (Figma, Lovable, Claude Code) to extend your craft, and making progress without waiting for a fully scoped PRD
Strong product judgment and decision accountability. You can move between customer needs, business goals, technical constraints, and long‑term platform leverage, then make a clear recommendation
Strong systems thinking. You can create coherent experiences across interconnected workflows and establish patterns that scale across products, teams, and technical foundations
Leadership presence and exceptional storytelling. You can communicate tradeoffs and recommendations directly to executives and cross‑functional leaders, in writing and in the room
