Zscaler in the United States is seeking a Staff Product Designer to join our hybrid team. You will design end-to-end experiences across our cybersecurity portfolio, using Figma and AI-powered tools to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and front-end code generation.

Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, and AI teams to evolve design systems, maintain high quality, and mentor junior designers. This role blends craft, systems thinking, and practical build skills in a fast-paced enterprise

Qualifications

• 8+ years of UX and/or Product Design experience, including enterprise/B2B.
• Strong portfolio with shipped UX for complex enterprise products (Figma/Sketch).
• Exceptional visual and interaction design skills; experience scaling design systems.
• Deep understanding of front-end constraints and ability to read code with engineering partners.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams.

Role

We are looking for a Staff Product Designer to join our team. This is a Hybrid role, reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Design in the Product Management department. The AI-Native Staff Product Designer is a hybrid of world-class design craft, systems thinking, and the ability to build what they design with the help of AI. This role designs and delivers end-to-end product experiences across Zscaler’s portfolio, using tools like Figma alongside AI-powered design and prototyping tools - from discovery through execution. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and AI teams, they create intuitive, cohesive experiences that drive adoption and retention while continuously evolving our UX practice as AI capabilities mature.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

• Lead end-to-end product design for complex, data-dense enterprise cybersecurity workflows across multiple Zscaler products, from discovery through implementation and iteration
• Design intuitive experiences for highly technical, configuration-heavy environments, balancing usability, clarity, scalability, and power
• Translate concepts into working prototypes and implementation-ready solutions, using AI tools alongside Figma to accelerate ideation, design exploration, and front-end code generation
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Content Design, Research, Data Science, and AI teams to define problems, align requirements, and deliver cohesive user experiences
• Evolve design systems, UX standards, and AI-native design practices while maintaining a high bar for quality and mentoring junior team members

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• Demonstrated AI-native mindset with active, daily use of AI tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, or equivalent) to enhance design, build, documentation, and iteration workflows
• 8+ years of UX and/or Product Design experience, including at least 5 years designing for enterprise or B2B products
• Strong product design portfolio showing shipped, world-class UX for complex enterprise products using tools like Figma or Sketch (portfolio link required)
• Exceptional visual and interaction design skills with proven experience building, contributing to, and scaling global design systems
• Deep understanding of front-end constraints (HTML, CSS, JS frameworks) with fluency in reading code and working closely with engineering implementation
• Excellent communication skills, demonstrating clarity, directness, and strong cross-functional collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Proven ability to leverage AI technologies and workflows to drive measurable operational efficiency
• Experience designing analytical or data-dense interfaces such as dashboards, workflows, monitoring, or configuration-heavy surfaces
• Familiarity with IT, Cloud Security, or adjacent technical domains
• Demonstrated AI-powered build capabilities, including using AI tools to generate code, prototype interactions, or automate design-to-code workflows

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range

$137,200—$196,000 USD
