Job summary

Iceberg is seeking a Staff/Principal-level engineer who has engineered identity platforms, not simply IAM products. You will design, build and operate production authentication and authorisation systems within complex, high-scale environments.

You’ll be a senior individual-contributor owning critical identity foundations for a financial services business operating across traditional and digital assets, with exceptional compensation for the right candidate.

Job description

I’m looking for a Staff/Principal-level engineer who has engineered identity platforms, not simply implemented IAM products.

This is for someone who has designed, built and operated production authentication and authorisation systems within complex, high-scale environments.

You may currently be a:

• Staff/Principal Software Engineer working within an Identity team
• Security Software Engineer building identity infrastructure
• Platform Engineer responsible for AuthN/AuthZ or workload identity
• Technical Lead owning customer identity and access platforms

The important part is that you still write production code and have built systems supporting:

• Customer-facing authentication and authorisation
• Human and non-human identities
• Service-to-service and workload identity
• Fine-grained roles, permissions and policy enforcement
• Secrets, keys and secure access patterns
• Distributed, cloud-native infrastructure

This is a senior individual-contributor role with real ownership. You’ll help shape and build the identity and security foundations of an institutional financial business operating across traditional and digital assets.

Direct digital-assets experience is valuable, but not essential if you are genuinely an expert in building identity systems at scale.

NYC is preferred, with San Francisco and London also considered. Exceptional compensation is available.
