Valley Health seeks a Staff Physicist to coordinate the radiation safety program within the radiation oncology department. You will perform and review radiotherapy planning and QA for patient care and equipment, and assist physicians in evaluating advanced delivery techniques such as IMRT, SRS, and SBRT.
You will also support therapists during setup and treatment as needed. The role requires MS or PhD in physics/medical physics, board certification possibilities, and state licensure.

Image guidance: Assess image guidance capabilities of the imaging systems: image quality, registration and set up corrections.

MS or PhD in physics or medical physics required
Certification in therapeutic medical physics (or therapeutic radiological physics or radiological physics):
American Board of Radiology.
American Board of Medical Physics.
Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine. State Licensure required
Competent to successfully interact with patients according to their special needs which may apply based on the age of the patient served required
