Job summary

Mercy Care in Atlanta, GA seeks a Staff Physician to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to underserved populations. You will provide clinical leadership, supervision, and consultation to support the clinic’s mission of holistic, accessible healthcare.

Under the Medical Director's direction, you will ensure compliance with medical protocols and participate in quality assurance initiatives, on-call rotation, and community outreach events.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state-approved medical school.
• Board certification in a medical specialty.
• Current Georgia medical license and DEA registration.
• Proven experience with medically underserved populations.
• Strong supervisory skills and ability to work with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to a diverse adult and geriatric population, with occasional pediatric cases.
• Supervise and consult with mid-level providers and clinical staff.
• Ensure compliance with medical protocols, pharmacy and radiology procedures, and regulatory standards including CLIA, HIPAA, PCER, and OSHA.
• Conduct medical chart and lab reviews, and participate in quality assurance initiatives.
• Share on-call coverage responsibilities.
• Represent Mercy Care at community health fairs and events 3–4 times annually.
