• MD or DO license to practice medicine in Nevada or eligible to obtain it.
• At least 1 year of MD experience and ability to provide diagnostic treatment and counseling.
• Ability to analyze situations and take effective action.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with patients, families, and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all duties.

Responsibilities

• Performs medical assessments and establishes a medically appropriate level of care.
• Stresses health education and preventive care as appropriate.
• Takes adequate histories and maintains medical records.
• Counsels on medical or psychological problems and health measures.
• Refer patients to additional treatment when needed; provides medical treatment when appropriate.
• Consults with private physicians and agencies for services beyond the center.
• Works with Counseling Services for mental health cases; participates in Advice Call.
• Reviews histories and treatment plans and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Stays current on developments in medicine and takes after-hours calls.
