Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to support our therapists in a growing orthopedic practice in Chicago. The role emphasizes direct patient care within state-defined scope and collaboration with the care team to ensure seamless patient progress.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of PTA experience, is licensed or eligible for licensure, and may speak Spanish.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (Preferred).
• Licensed PTA with 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• Spanish language ability preferred.
• Licensure: PTA license or pending license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide PTA care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Carry out day-to-day patient assignments per state laws and board guidelines.
• Follow company policies and maintain compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.

Job Type: Full-time (preferred), Part-time

Essential characteristics:

• The PTA will be responsible for the care delivery of patients, carried out within the scope of practice, defined by the state laws and the state Board of Physical Therapy
• Directly carries out the day-to-day patient assignments with the oversight and guidance by the Physical Therapist;
• Conducts physical therapy care within the scope of practice, as well as agency policies and regulations;
• Consistently follows company policies and procedures;
• Maintains compliance with applicable federal, state, accreditation and local standards, rules and regulations;
• Participates in personal professional growth and development;
• Participates with the interdisciplinary team to assure coordination of care and continuity of care delivery
• Reports all changes to patient findings to the Physical Therapist, as well as the physician where applicable
• Other duties as assigned

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday with 2 evenings until 6:30p

• Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

• licensed PTA clinical: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

• Spanish (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Physical Therapy Assistant License or pending license (Required)
