Job summary

The Jane Pauley Community Health Center, Inc. seeks a Staff Pharmacist to support patient-centered retail pharmacy services under the Pharmacy Manager.

You will collaborate with pharmacy and clinic staff to improve access to medications, chronic disease management, and overall patient wellness in an FQHC setting. Qualifications

• Experience in ambulatory, community, or retail pharmacy.
• Experience in an FQHC setting preferred.
• Familiarity with the 340B program strongly preferred.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or quality improvement methodologies preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered pharmacy services with a focus on safety, accuracy, and education.
• Accurately interpret prescriptions and enter data into the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Perform pharmacist verification to ensure the correct patient receives the correct medication.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records in the dispensing system.
• Provide medication to patients or caregivers after verification of at least two patient identifiers and collection of copayments.
• Assist patients and clinic staff in understanding the most appropriate medication access options, including standard prescriptions, 340B, PAP, samples, and other programs.
• Complete prescription production processes, including NDC verification, counting, bottling, labeling, and reconstitution using Fillmaster.
• Submit insurance claims and resolve rejected claims.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, including receiving inventory from wholesalers and completing cycle counts.
• Retain and manage required pharmacy documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
