Job summary

CVS Health in the United States seeks a Staff Pharmacist to lead safe dispensing and customer care in-store. You will model excellence, support the Pharmacy Manager, and guide the pharmacy team toward high-quality patient outcomes.

You will deliver immunizations, counsel patients, and collaborate with the broader healthcare team to resolve insurance and medication issues while maintaining compliant, compassionate service throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Attention and Focus: ability to concentrate on tasks.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Overseeing the pharmacy as proxy when needed, coaching the team, and reporting performance to the Pharmacy Manager.
• Assumes Pharmacy Manager’s duties when acting as the pharmacist-on-duty.
• Support safe prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences through empathy and collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Deliver immunizations and support Pharmacists in training- immunization delivery.
• Manage inventory with focus on cold chain products and proper stock controls.
• Ensure operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain scheduling support and adaptability to meet business needs.
