Job summary

UCLA Health in Los Angeles is seeking an inpatient Pharmacist to prepare and dispense medications in the hospital's inpatient pharmacies. You will collaborate with the health-care team to ensure safe and effective therapy for patients.

The role requires a PharmD, CA license, ASHP residency or BPS certification, and inpatient experience. Strong communication and pharmacokinetic calculation skills are essential; IV admixture and sterile product compounding may be involved.

Qualifications

• 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience (highly preferred).
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational and follow-through skills.
• Knowledge of pharmacokinetic calculations for age- and disease-specific dosing.
• Ability to compound intravenous admixtures and other sterile products.

In this key role, you will be responsible for preparing and dispensing many types of pharmaceuticals to fulfill orders in the inpatient pharmacies. You will collaborate closely with other members of the health care team to help prevent inappropriate or misuse of medications. Adhering to departmental policies and procedures, you will deliver a wide range of clinical services and dispense medications to the patients directly too.

Hourly Salary: $95.61-$112.00
