Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for a closed-door long-term care pharmacy in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This full-time role focuses on patient care, accurate medication order verification, and collaboration with nurses and physicians within a supportive team.

Active Iowa licensure or ability to obtain licensure is required; BS in Pharmacy or PharmD is expected. LTC experience is preferred but not required, with relocation assistance and excellent benefits offered.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
• Active Iowa pharmacist license or ability to obtain licensure.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable, self-motivated professional with a commitment to exceptional patient care.
• Long-term care pharmacy experience preferred, but not required!

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee the accurate and timely dispensing of medications to long-term care facilities.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to resolve medication questions and provide clinical guidance.
• Participate in IV and TPN preparation.
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Help maintain high standards of quality, safety, and patient care.
