Job summary

PillPack, LLC is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join Amazon's pharmacy team. The role involves clinical data review, prescription verification, and virtual patient consultations, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

You'll manage end-to-end prescription fulfillment, including automated dispensing, packaging for shipment, and handling refrigerated items. A valid pharmacist license and strong attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required.
• Active pharmacist license in state of employment required.
• Proficient with pharmacy systems and basic computer functions.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical data review, prescription verification, and virtual patient consultations in compliance with regulations.
• Manage end-to-end prescription fulfillment, including dispensing medications with automated systems and manual fill.
• Package and prepare prescriptions for shipment or site injections, including refrigerated and bulk items.
• Maintain quality standards and safety protocols while meeting CPT and production targets.
• Split time between prescription verification and fulfillment based on operational needs.
• Perform DUR and ensure accurate documentation in pharmacy systems.
• Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory.
• Collaborate with technicians and other pharmacists to maintain workflow.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify and report quality or safety concerns per regulatory requirements.
• Handle daily tasks including returns, medication rejects, DOA substitutions, and canister approvals.
