Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum, is hiring a Staff Pharmacist for the Community setting in Phoenix. This per diem role handles prescription processing, counsels patients, and provides immunizations where permitted by state law and uphold safety and compliance.

You'll work within a coordinated care team focused on behavioral health, delivering excellent customer service and medication safety, with a comprehensive benefits package including equity stock purchase and 401k.

Qualifications

  • Must have Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
  • Current pharmacist license in the state of Arizona.

Responsibilities

  • Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
  • Provides information to customers about medications and their use.
  • Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.

We seek a Staff Pharmacist to perform professional duties and responsibilities associated with the processing of prescriptions. Per Diem Pharmacists are classified as temporary employees and work on an intermittent basis.

  • Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
  • Provides information to customers about medications and their use
  • Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
  • Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy

Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacyor PharmD

Current pharmacist license in state of Arizona

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44.09 to $78.70 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
