Staff Pharmacist

Location: System Wide Support at Both Locations | Full-Time | Variable Shifts

Compensation: Starting pay begins at $55.85 per hour, competitive rates based on experience and education.

Schedule: Full-time position with variable shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency coverage as needed.

What You’ll Do as a Staff Pharmacist
  • Review, verify, and manage medication orders to ensure safe, accurate, and effective drug therapy.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary patient care activities, including medication reconciliation, medication therapy monitoring, and clinical consultations.
  • Provide patient and caregiver education regarding medications and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication outcomes.
  • Provide drug information, dosing recommendations, and evidence-based clinical support.
  • Perform distributive pharmacy functions to ensure timely medication availability and delivery.
  • Monitor patient responses to medication therapy and recommend interventions as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
  • Support the education and training of pharmacy students through practical and didactic learning experiences.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required.

Experience:

  • One (1) year of clinical patient care and medication order management experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current license to practice Pharmacy in the State of North Carolina required.

  • Frequent hand, finger, and wrist repetition requiring moderate dexterity.
  • Frequent close eye work and detailed medication verification activities.
  • Exposure to electrical and mechanical equipment, chemicals, biological specimens, and healthcare-related hazards.
  • Subject to variable schedules including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency situations.
  • Occasional exposure to ionizing and non-ionizing radiation environments.
