Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown in Columbus, GA seeks a Staff Pharmacist on a 7on/7off schedule to support distribution, compounding and medication management across all patient age groups. The role requires involvement in clinical activities to ensure optimal therapy and safety.

You will supervise technicians, ensure accurate dispensing, and participate in patient-centered care to improve medication outcomes in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
• Georgia Pharmacist license required.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.
