Job summary

Meijer in Michigan is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our community-based pharmacy team. You will fill prescriptions accurately, educate patients, mentor technicians, and maintain strong relationships with customers and staff.

You will work under Meijer's policies, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws while contributing to clinical services such as immunizations and other allowed activities. A retail setting with opportunities for growth and education assistance awaits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or PharmD and state licensure are required.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana) preferred.
• Experience in Retail/Community pharmacy environment.
• Knowledge of pharmacy policies, procedures, and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients and team.
• Ensure compliance with Meijer policies and state/federal laws.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians.
• Oversee operations in pharmacist in charge's absence.
• Perform immunizations and other clinical services where allowed.

This position must practice the profession of pharmacy in an environment that by philosophy and policy, promote patient care and education. This person must be patient directed, clinically oriented, and have a vision to take Meijer Pharmacy to the next level of patient care.

What You'll be Doing:

• Fill prescriptions safely accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results in an appropriate and effective manner and have a vision to expand and grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures as well as state and federal laws.
• Effective communication skills and agent of change.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Listen to the patient and resolve patient's needs, customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, will be responsible for the pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee (where allowed) clinical services, including immunizations

What You Bring With You (Qualifications):
