Job Description
Chronicle Heritage seeks Staff Paleontologists to join our quickly growing team of experienced, motivated professionals in Utah, Texas, Wyoming, Oregon, New Mexico, Arizona, Florida, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Virginia. Staff Paleontologists will assist with field surveys, construction monitoring, fossil salvages, matrix washing and picking, and other field tasks as needed. The staff paleontologist will also collect and record stratigraphic, lithologic, and paleontological data, and may also be required to assist with laboratory fossil preparation and identification, data entry and cataloging, along with data analysis and record searches. Local and out-of-state travel is required for this position. Compensation for travel and lodging is provided on a project-by-project basis. Pay rate is dependent upon experience.
Hire Type: Hourly, as-needed
Schedule: Project dependent; periodic weekend work expected
Location: Utah, Texas, Wyoming, Oregon, New Mexico, Arizona, Florida, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Virginia.
