University of Iowa Health Care in Iowa City seeks a part-time Staff Nurse to assess patients’ care needs, lead the nursing team, and uphold patient care standards on our downtown campus. The role emphasizes coordination of care across settings, development of patient care plans, and collaboration with patients, families and the health care team.

A current Iowa nursing license, excellent communication skills, and commitment to ongoing professional development are required; SEIU pay plan applies

Qualifications

• Nursing degree (ADN/ Diploma/ BSN or higher) required.
• Current Iowa nursing license by hire date.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Assess patients' nursing care needs and evaluate care effectiveness.
• Lead nursing team to maintain patient care standards.
• Coordinate continuum of care across settings.
• Develop and implement transfer/discharge plans.
• Ensure adherence to department policies and safety procedures.
• Participate in policy development and quality improvement.
