The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute seeks a Staff Nurse (RN) in Medical Oncology to care for acute cancer patients across 44 beds, including telemetry and complex medical care. You will work within a dedicated team to support patient and family needs and coordinate nursing care on a rotating shift schedule.

Required is a CCNE/ACEN-accredited nursing degree and an active Ohio license or interim permit.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited nursing program required.
• Current Ohio license or interim permit.
• Experience in relevant care setting preferred.

The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient’s involvement in their own plan of care, and reducing the length of hospitalization, the staff nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement, the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost-effective care.**Position Summary**The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and their family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team.
