Job summary

Methodist Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care to assigned patients, following the nursing process and hospital standards. The role includes direct and indirect patient care, medical administration, and collaboration with the health care team.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current Texas RN license or eligibility, and a BLS certification with at least six months of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Work experience: Six months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment using effective communication.
• Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Communicates with team, patients and families and documents patient information timely and accurately.
• Administers medications and IV therapy as prescribed and monitors patient responses.
• Performs duties and develops professionally to support quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Job Requirements

Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.

Provides a therapeutic environment through safe, accurate, and timely medication and

IV administration.

and development.

Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the

episode of care.

Other duties as assigned.
