Job summary

QSL Management is seeking a Staff Nurse for The Barclay House in Baton Rouge. The role requires current LPN licensure, CPR and First Aid certification, and experience in assisted living or long-term care.

Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is preferred, with duties including medication administration, resident care, and supporting memory improvement programs. You will work under the Wellness Leadership team in a supportive environment that values excellence, compassion, respect,

Qualifications

• Current license for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) issued by the state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current First Aid certification preferred.
• Assisted Living or Long-term care experience preferred.
• Flexible and prepared to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical treatment and administer medication according to physician orders within scope of board and state regulations.
• Provide world-class care and service for residents.
• Assist residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
• Work independently and with a team to organize tasks, document clearly, and follow through on assignments.
• Serve as charge nurse on shift for the personal assistants under Wellness Leadership team.

We are currently looking for a Staff Nurse for The Barclay House of Baton Rouge

Primary Responsibilities of the Staff Nurse:

• Provide medical treatment and administer medication according to physician orders within the scope of their applicable board and state regulations for assistant living.
• Provide world class care and service for our residents while remaining flexible and adapt to change.
• Assist residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
• Work independently (with minimal direct supervision) and with a team to make decisions, organize/prioritize tasks effectively, document clearly, and follow through on assignments.
• Serve as charge nurse on shift for the personal assistants under the direction of the Wellness Leadership team

Requirements

• Must have a caring heart, willing to serve others.
• Current license for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) issued by the state.
• Current CPR certification
• Assisted Living or Long-term care experience preferred
• Current First Aid certification preferred
• Must be flexible and prepared to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
