Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care in Iowa City is seeking a Staff Nurse for on-campus, part-time night shifts. You will apply nursing theory to patient assessment, coordinate the continuum of care across settings, and develop individualized care plans to achieve expected outcomes.

Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and teamwork are essential. An Iowa RN license and nursing education at the required level are required; strong collaboration with the multidisciplinary team is expected.

Qualifications

• RN license in Iowa required by date of hire.
• Associate’s/Degree in Nursing or higher required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Applies nursing theory to assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation.
• Coordinates continuum of care across settings.
• Develops and implements patient care plans.
• Documents interventions and patient/family response.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team and transfer/discharge planning.
