Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current California RN license to practice.
• 6 months RN I experience at AHS or 1 year full-time in a 100-bed hospital.
• ED/CCU 6 months, OR/PACU 1 year experience.
• BLS, ACLS, CPI, and PALS certifications required.
• CCRN/CEN credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and administer medications per plan.
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and modify nursing care plans.
• Coordinate with physicians and other departments for patient information.
• Oversee telemetry monitoring and respond to arrhythmias.
• Maintain infection control standards and participate in quality assurance.
• Communicate procedures and care plans to patients and families; teach self-care.
• Prepare patients and areas for procedures; assist physicians and use related instruments.
• Perform hourly rounding and document care per standards; use AIDET in interactions.
