Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse - Operating Room to uphold patient safety and high standards of perioperative care. The RN will work to implement the center's philosophy and deliver coordinated care across the surgical specialties.

The role requires NYS licensure, BLS, and OR experience; CNOR membership is highly desirable. Schedule is 11 AM-7:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for professional growth in a renowned academic medical center.

Qualifications

• New York State Registered Professional License and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State required.
• B.S. degree preferred, Associate required.
• BLS required.
• Membership in CNOR highly desirable.
• OR experience preferred.

• Participates in performance improvement and maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; demonstrates leadership.
• Demonstrates core and unit-specific competencies based on the patient population served.

Overview

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse - OR actualizes the vision, mission, values, balanced scorecard performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center.
• The RN participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills.
• The RN demonstrates core and unit-specific competencies based on the patient population served.
• The Registered Nurse contributes to the actualization of the philosophy and objectives of the MMC and the Surgical Care Center. They are committed to maintaining the standards of the practice of nursing and are responsible for the coordination, implementation, and delivery of care to the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or elderly patient.

SCHEDULE: 11 AM-7:30 PM. Mon-Fri.
