Job summary

Children's of Alabama is seeking a staff nurse for the Emergency Department at the Main Campus. The position is full-time, evenings and nights from 7 PM to 7 AM with weekends variable.

The nurse will assess, intervene, reassess, plan, implement, educate, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced ED setting. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current Alabama RN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Essential: Registered Nurse license in Alabama and Basic Life Support.

• Provide nursing care with minimal supervision.

Work schedule will be Full-time on the Evening Night Shift shift, 7p to 7a/weekends variable.

Summary

The staff nurse is a professional nurse who, with minimal supervision, is responsible for providing nursing care to patients. Patient care includes assessment, interventions, and reassessments of the patient. The nurse is also responsible for planning, implementing, educating, and evaluating care of patients/caregivers.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Experience

Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries

• Current BLS certification




• Current RN license in the State of Alabama

Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications:

Essential:
* Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
- Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State
- Registered Nurse Non-AL NLC Multi State
* Basic Life Support

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
