The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute is seeking a Staff Nurse-B (RN) for the Immediate Care Center to deliver direct patient care, assess needs, and coordinate nursing services within the professional practice model.

The Staff Nurse will assess, plan, implement, coordinate, delegate and evaluate care for patients and families, supervise other care team members, and participate in quality and safety initiatives; Ohio license

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited program.
• Current Ohio license or interim permit.
• Experience in relevant care setting preferred.

Scope of Position

The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute's (OSUCCC-James) mission is to improve health in Ohio and across the world through innovation in research, education, and patient care. The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient's involvement in his/her own plan of care and reducing the length of hospitalization, the staff nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement, the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost-effective care.

Position Summary

The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.

Required Qualifications

Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required. Current Ohio license or interim permit. *Experience in relevant care setting preferred.
