Job summary

The Brooklyn Hospital Center is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Medical Intensive Care Unit in New York. The role delivers expert nursing care across age groups, applying the nursing process from assessment to documentation.

You will delegate tasks and work within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Required are a NYS RN license, BCLS/ACLS, and at least 1 year of critical care experience, with strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• 1 year of critical care experience is required.
• Current New York State Licensed Registered Professional Nurse
• BCLS and ACLS required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in the Medical Intensive Care Unit for patients of all ages.
• Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, evaluate, and document care.
• Formulate nursing diagnoses and provide teaching, counseling, and care.
• Delegate tasks to assistive nursing personnel and adhere to hospital standards.
