University Health Services at the University of Missouri–St. Louis is seeking a Staff Nurse to join an ambulatory care clinic. The RN will collaborate with physicians to deliver integrated medical, mental health, and preventive services for students.

The role requires a nursing program completion and MO RN licensure (or eligibility), with preferred ambulatory/college health experience. Shift is Mon-Fri, 8am–5pm, with competitive benefits and a comprehensive compensation package.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and initial triage.

  • Provide patient education on health conditions, treatments, and prevention.
  • Monitor patient response and communicate findings to providers.

  • Ensure compliance with infection control and clinical protocols.

Job Description

Health, Counseling, and Disability Access Services is seeking aStaff Nurse at an active university health center. UniversityHealth Services is an ambulatory care clinic staffed by a healthcare provider and staff nurse who collaborate with physicians fromvarious disciplines. The department is committed to providingintegrated and effective medical, mental health, health promotionand public health services for the University’s student body.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs, symptomevaluation, and initial triage
  • Administer medications, treatments, and vaccines within scope ofpractice and provider orders
  • Assist with clinical procedures and support provider servicedelivery
  • Coordinate patient care activities, including follow-up,referrals, and continuity of care
  • Provide patient education related to health conditions,treatments, and preventive care
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate relevantfindings to providers
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the health recordsystem
  • Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, infection controlstandards, and institutional
  • Support clinic operations by assisting with patient flow andclinical workflow coordination

Minimum Qualifications

Completion of an approved nursing program and licensure (oreligibility to be licensed) as an RN within the state ofMissouri.

Preferred Qualifications

One year of professional nursing experience in ambulatory care,primary care, college health, public health, urgent care, orrelated clinical setting.

Anticipated Hiring Range

$26.45-$31.25
