Job summary

Apex is seeking a skilled Staff NPI Manufacturing Engineer in Los Angeles to drive the manufacturing strategy for the next generation spacecraft, Comet. This role involves defining scalable manufacturing systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure production efficiency.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant industry experience in manufacturing engineering, NPI, production development, or factory engineering.
• Demonstrated experience scaling complex hardware products from prototype/development builds into production.
• Strong understanding of DFM/DFA principles, manufacturing process development, tooling design, and production system architecture.

Responsibilities

• Drive manufacturing strategy and NPI execution for Comet from early development through production ramp.
• Partner directly with product design and engineering teams to provide DFM/DFA feedback.
• Lead planning and development of new production facilities including factory layout and equipment integration.
