Job summary

Parailabs is partnering with a large enterprise technology organization to place a Staff Software Engineer on the team behind its Android and iOS apps. This mobile-first role also contributes to backend services, APIs, and web work, and uses AI coding tools daily.

You will own features end to end, collaborate with Product and UX, and mentor teammates while delivering high-quality software across stacks. A W-2, full-time role with 40 hours per week in the Cincinnati area.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Native mobile experience: Android (Kotlin) with Jetpack; iOS/Swift welcome; Flutter/React Native counts if native work.
• Production experience outside mobile (backend, APIs, web).
• Solid engineering fundamentals: design, testing, debugging.
• Comfortable using AI coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude).
• Available for at least 40 hours/week during weekdays.
• Nice to have: exposure to LLM-powered features, accessibility, or apps with accounts/payments/orders.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features for the team's native mobile apps, mainly Android in Kotlin.
• Contribute beyond mobile across backend services, APIs, and web applications.
• Use AI-powered developer tools to get up to speed on unfamiliar code and ship with quality.
• Take part in technical design, code reviews, and production support.
• Work closely with Product, UX, and partner engineering teams, and help other engineers grow.
