  • Establish durable engineering practices for a safety‑critical mobile platform.
Qualifications
  • 12+ years of total mobile software development experience with a BA/BS in Computer Science or related field; or 8+ years with an MS and at least 3 years at a Senior or Staff level.
  • Deep expertise in Kotlin, Android Jetpack ecosystem, Hilt, Coroutines, and Jetpack Compose.
  • Experience architecting reliable, long‑running mobile applications (background execution, foreground services, process death, state restoration, battery optimization, memory management).
  • Production experience with Bluetooth Low Energy on Android.
  • Strong grasp of API styles and messaging protocols such as REST, GraphQL, MQTT, or comparable pub/sub technologies.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, including driving architecture, writing design documents, mentoring, and influencing cross‑functional teams.
Bonus (Optional)
  • Experience building software in a regulated industry (medical devices, healthcare, automotive, or fintech).
  • Familiarity with medical device software standards and cybersecurity practices (IEC62304, ISO14971, FDA guidance, threat modeling, SBOM).
