Google is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in AI/ML to shape the technical trajectory of large-scale ML systems. You will bridge research and production, ensuring scalable, efficient AI solutions that integrate with core products.

You will lead architecture reviews, guide teams across Product, Research, and UX, and mentor engineers while advancing state-of-the-art techniques for Google's global infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of software development experience.
• 5+ years testing, launching software products, and 3+ years in design and architecture.
• 5 years in ML design, ML infrastructure, and model deployment/evaluation.
• Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of complex ML pipelines and distributed systems.
• Drive adoption of next-gen AI/ML techniques for production-scale impact.
• Set high standards for code quality, testing, and deployment.
• Mentor engineers and represent the team in technical discussions.
