Job summary

Kindredventures in Boston, MA is seeking a Staff ML Research Scientist to push state-of-the-art machine learning for embodied, interactive characters. You will lead applied research at the intersection of robotics, multimodal learning, and human-robot interaction, translating research wins into shipped product capabilities.

You'll mentor researchers and engineers, design and train models for perception, behavior, or interaction, and collaborate with engineering to deploy research into product.

Qualifications

• PhD in ML, robotics, CS, or related field.
• Strong publication record (NeurIPS, ICML, CoRL, CVPR, etc.).
• Hands-on experience training large models end-to-end.
• Track record of translating research into real products.

Responsibilities

• Lead research projects from problem framing through publication or product.
• Design and train models for perception, behavior, or interaction.
• Collaborate with engineering to deploy research into product.
• Mentor other researchers and engineers.
