Job summary

Deepgram is seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our Research team as a Member of the Research Staff. You will prototype and validate novel modeling ideas, scale them through robust training systems for STT and TTS, and collaborate with researchers, engineers, and product stakeholders.

You will design scalable training pipelines, build internal tools and dashboards for non-technical users, and help shape the future of world-class speech recognition and synthesis at Deepgram.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with ML research pipelines, particularly in speech domains (STT or related).
• Experience with large-scale training systems and model development.
• Ability to work across researchers, engineers, and product stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Scalable model training: architect and manage scalable training lifecycles for STT/TTS models and efficient data pipelines.
• Tooling & accessibility: design internal UIs and tools to make ML workflows accessible to non-technical stakeholders.
• Infrastructure & tools: oversee training tooling, job orchestration, experiment tracking, and data storage.
