CoreWeave, The Essential Cloud for AI, is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead production ML systems across observability and cloud platforms. You will frame problems, build models, and deliver scalable services with strong ownership.

You will collaborate with software engineers, product managers, researchers, and domain experts to turn ideas into reliable customer experiences, focusing on anomaly detection, time-series analysis, event correlation, and model lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Production ML systems experience in a real-world setting.
• Strong Python skills and familiarity with Go or another systems language.
• Deep understanding of ML fundamentals, evaluation, and failure analysis.
• Experience with time-series, logs, metrics, traces, or operational data at scale.
• Ability to define evaluation methodologies for ambiguous ML problems.
• Systems thinking for distributed architectures and telemetry integration.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of production ML systems for infrastructure observability and optimization.
• Develop anomaly detection, time-series analysis, event correlation, ranking, and recommendations.
• Build evaluation frameworks and datasets to measure accuracy, robustness, and safety in real scenarios.
• Translate research into scalable services with clear ownership and maintainability.
• Design data pipelines, feature generation, model-serving paths, and feedback loops.
• Integrate ML capabilities with telemetry platforms and customer-facing experiences (Mission Control, Grafana).
• Establish evaluation, monitoring, reproducibility, and lifecycle practices for models.
• Balance model quality, latency, cost, and reliability.
• Collaborate with metrics, logs, traces, telemetry teams for cross-system intelligence.
• Mentor engineers and influence roadmaps without formal authority.
