Job summary

Sirtex is seeking an experienced mechanical/biomedical engineer to design and develop new products, build prototyping and bench tests, and conduct verification and validation activities. The role involves data analysis, root cause investigations, and collaboration with clinicians, regulators, and manufacturing teams.

You will ensure design controls and regulatory compliance while coordinating project tasks and timelines to deliver robust medical devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering; 6+ years of industry experience.
• Master's degree preferred in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products using multidisciplinary engineering knowledge.
• Support research across medical, scientific, regulatory, manufacturing, marketing and sales.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate project tasks and activities.
• Develop working prototypes and conduct bench tests.
• Perform data analysis and problem solving for design investigations.
• Collaborate with outside consultants, suppliers, and customers (including clinicians).
• Coordinate design control and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare documentation for regulatory submissions and quality systems.
