Job summary

ExoTerra is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to lead scalable production of space hardware across programs in the United States. You will own manufacturing strategy, production readiness, and process excellence to ensure high reliability aerospace products.

Responsibilities include leading AI&T activities, driving DFM/DFT decisions, and mentoring teams on manufacturing best practices, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 8–15 years in manufacturing engineering, aerospace/space hardware production.
• Proven ability to scale development into high-rate production.
• Deep expertise in AI&T, DFM/DFT, and production system design.
• Familiar with AS9100, GD&T and aerospace quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end manufacturing for complex parts across programs.
• Define strategies for high-rate production, costs, and delivery.
• Lead AI&T activities including mechanical systems testing.
• Develop standardized integration and test methodologies.
• Drive lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage NCR investigations and MRB responsibilities.
