Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. seeks a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to design and optimize NX CAD/CAM workflows for turbine engine and gas compressor components.

You will create process plans, NC programs, and routing in the MRP system, while partnering with shop floor and QA to ensure high-quality parts and efficient production. Responsibilities include developing manufacturing processes, fixtures, and inspection plans, with emphasis on improving programs and onboarding new products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Modeling experience with NX preferred.
• Exposure to multi-axis NC programming using a solid model-based CAD/CAM system.
• Experience supporting model-based definition parts.
• Ability to work hands-on with shop floor.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and GD&T.
• Demonstrated problem solving and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Develop inspection plans for new parts with QA and facilitate disposition of non-conforming parts.
