VNS Health is seeking Staff Home Health Aides to provide exceptional care to clients in Queens, New York. You will be an integral part of our team, working with clients to ensure their safety and comfort at home.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to perform personal care duties, monitor vital signs, and assist with daily activities. Compensation is $22.00 per hour with a guaranteed 40 hours of work each week.

Qualifications

• Available to service clients in several towns north of Tarrytown, Westchester.
• Must have a car and valid driver’s license.
• At least 18 years of age required.

Overview

We’re looking for Staff Home Health Aides to be the heart of the care we provide our clients in Queens. As a Staff Home Health Aide with VNS Health Personal Care, you will provide exceptional care that our clients rely on to stay safe at home. What You Will Do

• Provide personal care and support, including ambulation, transfers, ostomy care, and assistance with medical equipment and self-administered medication.
• Monitor vital signs, observe and report client conditions, and adhere to infection control practices.
• Assist with personal hygiene, nutrition, fluid intake, and light housekeeping.
• Ensure client rights and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Be available to service clients in towns north of Tarrytown, Westchester: Sleepy Hallow, Ossining, Briar Cliff Manor, Croton‑on Hudson, Buchanan, Peekskill, Cortlandt Manor, Montrose, Verplanck & Crugers.
• Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department approved HHA Training Program or Equivalency.
• Sixth (6) grade reading comprehension level.
• Writing and math skill level to the extent necessary for the successful and safe performance of required job functions.
• Have a car and valid driver’s license. Be available Monday – Friday (8:00 am - 8:00 pm) some weekends.
• Be willing to work on multiple short‑hour cases (minimum 3 cases daily, mileage reimbursement offered).
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Physical Requirements

• Full range of body motion, including handling and lifting adult clients.
• Standing and walking for extensive periods, as well as bending and climbing stairs.
• Commonly lifts, carries, and maneuvers items weighing more than 50 lbs.

Compensation

• $22.00 per hour/40 Hours Guaranteed
