Job summary

Inseego Corp in San Diego, CA is seeking a Staff Hardware Engineer to lead hardware subsystems outside RF/antenna. You will own digital/mixed-signal architecture, validation, and production support for high-volume wireless products, including 5G hotspots and FWA.

You will collaborate with RF, software, mechanical, manufacturing teams, perform lab bring-up, validation, and debugging, and mentor junior engineers while driving design for signal integrity and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years hardware development experience preferred.
• Experience with high-volume product development from concept to production.
• Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and PCB layout best practices.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware architecture, schematic design, and validation of digital and mixed-signal subsystems.
• Design processor support circuitry including memory, power management, battery charging, USB, Ethernet, PCIe, SIM, and display interfaces.
• Develop hardware specifications and design documentation.
• Perform component selection, supplier evaluation, and technical tradeoffs.
