Job summary

Lucid Motors USA, Inc. seeks a Staff Global Supply Manager for Key Components to drive global sourcing for PCBA and ECU parts, manage supplier relationships, and develop cost-effective supply strategies with engineering teams.

This role requires 8+ years of Purchasing/Supply Chain/Engineering experience with PCBA, plus travel 15-25%. Bachelor’s in Engineering/SC/Finance; Masters preferred. Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP is expected.

We are currently seeking a Staff Global Supply Manager for Key Components. The Staff Global Supply Manager manages global sourcing for all assigned commodities and work, supporting various vehicle systems, maintains the component timelines, and assists with purchasing throughout the company.

You Will:

• Identify, evaluate, and manage global suppliers for key components used in PCBA and ECU manufacturing.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers while maintaining a focus on cost competitiveness and quality.
• Develop long-term relationships with key suppliers, ensuring alignment with company goals and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with design and engineering teams to understand the requirements for key components in PCBA and ECU designs.
• Provide technical expertise to assess the manufacturability, quality, and cost-effectiveness of key components.
• Work with engineering teams to ensure key component designs are optimized for manufacturing and meet product performance requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cost, enhance quality, and improve supplier performance.
• Create RFQs, review, analyze, and clarify quotations from suppliers and develop sound sourcing and business recommendations balancing cost, quality, lead-time and technical considerations
• Thoroughly negotiate favorable contracts including parts pricing, tooling costs and Engineering Services (NRE / EDT), NDAs, MSAs.
• Conduct regular market analysis to identify potential suppliers, industry trends, and emerging technologies in key components.
• Be responsible for Driving and Tracking all key component related ECRs
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies for key components used in electrical control units, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality compliance.
• Manage supplier development and tooling timelines, part availability for prototype builds/start of production and develop solutions to delays or problems that arise
• Maintain overall supplier relationships and act as point of contact for all commercial issues, including internal report-outs summarizing sourcing status, parts availability and cost status
• Perform supplier assessments, audits and site inspections; develop process improvement plans and drive implementation; monitor and maintain performance metrics
• Travel 15-25% to visit suppliers to perform business and program reviews

You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Finance discipline required; Masters preferred
• 8+ years minimum Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering experience with PCBA or PCBA components
• Experience with developing supply chain strategies for key components used in electrical control units, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality compliance.
• Product launch experience preferred.
• Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solve, as well as work independently on multiple tasks or projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of resilience to deal with urgent requests, and minimal information. Works well with various teams.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Passion for results, strategy, and hands on execution. Creative, calculated risk taker with the ability to manage complex suppliers and resolve disputes while preserving relationships with suppliers and internal staff.
• Strong written and verbal skills as well as organizational and program management capabilities.
• Proficient in Excel, Power Point, Word, JIRA, Confluence, ERP systems (SAP or equivalent)
• Experience managing large data sets in Excel
• Ability to mitigate unforeseen problems creatively and effectively.

Salary Range

The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$140,000 — $205,370 USD

Compensation & Benefits:

Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a401(k) retirementplan. Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off.Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
