Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Staff Global Supply Manager, Avionics to lead sourcing across aircraft-grade components and scale supplier networks for Terran R. You’ll drive strategic procurement, cost, quality, and delivery targets in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams, own risk management, and mentor suppliers to ensure program milestones are met while upholding AS9100 standards and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 9+ years of professional experience in supply chain, sourcing, or procurement.
  • Direct experience managing avionics commodities in aerospace.
  • Experience managing suppliers for complex aerospace or advanced manufacturing commodities.
  • Proven track record negotiating contracts and managing milestone-based agreements.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (LN, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and standards (AS9100, NADCAP).

Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing and supplier management for major vehicle structures ensuring cost, quality, and delivery targets are achieved
  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies to support Terran-R build schedules
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Planning to influence design for manufacturability

About the Team:

The Supply Chain team turns design intent into executable reality, balancing lead time, cost, complexity, and manufacturability to ensure we can build and scale Terran R. On this team, you're not just placing orders; you're actively shaping the solution. With full ownership across raw materials, capital equipment, and services, the role requires both strategic thinking and day-to-day execution. As the company scales, supply chain becomes increasingly central, working closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and more to make decisions that work for today but also for tomorrow. About the Role:

As a Staff Global Supply Manager, Avionics, you'll work closely with stakeholders across Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Planning, and more to design and scale both existing and novel supply chains in the design and development of complex components that create a competitive advantage for the enterprise.

  • Lead sourcing and supplier management for major vehicle structures ensuring cost, quality, and delivery targets are achieved
  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies, including supplier selection, long-term agreements, and capacity planning to support Terran-R build schedules
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Planning to influence design for manufacturability and align procurement with program milestones
  • Drive supplier performance through rigorous risk management, contract negotiations, and milestone-based trackingMentor and support team members, building expertise in aerospace manufacturing processes and supplier development
  • Act as a thought leader for relevant commodities, continuously improving sourcing processes, supplier health, and program readiness
About You:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 9+ years of professional experience in supply chain, sourcing, or procurement
  • Direct experience managing avionics commodities in aerospace (PCBs, PCBAs, Machined Components, Harnessing, EEE components, Instrumentation, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience managing suppliers for complex aerospace or advanced manufacturing commodities
  • Proven success driving supplier performance improvements through KPIs, recovery plans, and long-term agreements
  • Proven track record of negotiating contracts and managing milestone-based agreements
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (LN, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes such as machining, PCB/PCBA manufacturing, harness manufacturing
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and NADCAP standards, supplier qualifications, and audit processes
  • New Product Development (NPD) or Introduction (NPI) supply chain experience, preferably within aerospace or frontier technology industries
  • Proficiency in supplier risk assessment, cost modeling, and capacity planning
Nice to haves but not required:
  • MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering

Hiring Range:

$172,400 - $258,600 USD
