Job summary
Delve Underground has an immediate opening for a Staff Geotechnical Engineer to join our Seattle team. This position focuses on supporting the delivery of tunnels, underground facilities, wastewater projects, and water infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate will have either academic or prior work experience in geotechnical engineering, excavation support, rock mechanics or trenchless technologies. The responsibilities include supporting geotechnical investigation programs, performing
Qualifications
- BS in Geotechnical/Civil or Geological Engineering.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience in geotechnical engineering, soil and rock mechanics, and excavation methods.
- Familiarity with geotechnical analysis software (e.g., slope/excavation analysis) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support geotechnical investigation programs including planning, permitting, field data collection, and reporting.
- Perform analyses and design calculations for tunnels, foundations, and excavation support.
- Conduct geologic and seismic hazard evaluations.
- Prepare technical reports and calculation packages.
