The role includes loading, validating, manipulating, and reporting well log and seismic data, and coordinating with Information Systems on complex issues. The ideal candidate has a strong background in geoscience data analysis, software systems, and data workflows, with at least eight years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of geoscience technical support, geologic/geographic, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform advanced technical support, advanced data analyses, and recommendations based on interpretation of data.
  • Pre-employment background and drug test acceptable.

  • Provides technical support to geological, geophysical, and petrophysical personnel and stakeholders.
  • Leads loading, verification, manipulation, analysis, and reporting of well log and seismic data.
  • Oversees installation and maintenance of software systems and databases; coordinates with IS on complex issues.
  • Generates and refines maps, exhibits, typelogs, and production analyses for prospect generation and regulatory compliance.
  • Supports acquisition, maintenance, and optimization of geoscience software, hardware, and data resources.

Job SummaryProvides primarily technical support with some administrative support to geological, geophysical, and/or petrophysical personnel. Responsible for loading, entering, verifying, manipulating, analyzing, and reporting data related to well logs and seismic activity; providing advanced user support for software systems; and serving as a liaison to Information Systems personnel for more complex issues.
