ENGEO Incorporated is seeking a Staff Geologist to perform comprehensive analyses of earth materials and assess geological hazards on diverse, high-profile projects. You will work with peers and leaders to characterize soils, rocks, groundwater, and other natural conditions before major construction, ensuring safety and compliance.

The role emphasizes field mapping, data collection, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and development of mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering Geology, Geology, or Civil Engineering with a Geology focus.
• Authorized to work in the United States with a clean driving record.
• A vehicle to access field sites.

Responsibilities

• Characterize soil, rock, groundwater and other natural conditions prior to major construction projects.
• Identify and develop mitigation measures for geological hazards affecting life, land, and property.
• Plan and conduct field explorations including mapping, drilling, test pits, trenches and sample collection.
• Build geologic models and interpret subsurface stratigraphy to analyze slope stability.
