Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform services (Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions).
• 3+ years applying SRE practices including monitoring, incident management and performance optimization.
• 3+ years with CI/CD tools (Google Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar).
• 3+ years in container orchestration with Kubernetes and Docker.
• 3+ years scripting (Python, Bash) and IaC (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
• 3+ years monitoring/logging with Google Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana or similar.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; able to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

• AI Platform Enablement: build Google Cloud infra for AI agents, plugins/tools securely.
• AI Integration & Governance: pattern reuse, security controls, observability for AI agents.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations for smooth deployments.
• Create and maintain system architecture docs and runbooks.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for GCP-based applications and services, ensuring high availability and performance
• Automate repetitive tasks and processes using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Google Deployment Manager)
• Implement security best practices for cloud resources, including identity and access management (IAM), data encryption, and network
• Monitor and manage cloud resources, including virtual machines, containers, databases, and networking components
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Google Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
• Set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Google Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, or Grafana to ensure system health and performance
• Participate in incident response and post-mortem analysis to identify root causes and implement preventive measures
• SRE best practices, including service level objectives (SLOs), service level indicators (SLIs), and error budgets
• AI Platform Enablement: Build and maintain Google Cloud infrastructure and services that enable application engineers to develop, deploy, and scale AI agents, plugins/tools, and knowledge-based applications securely
• AI Integration & Governance: Enable integrations with LLMs, vector/knowledge stores, APIs, and enterprise plugins; establish reusable patterns, security controls, observability, and best practices for AI agent development.
• Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications
• Create and maintain documentation for system architecture, processes, and procedures

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions
• 3+ years experience with SRE principles and practices, including monitoring, incident management, and performance optimization
• 3+ years experienc with CI/CD tools and practices, including experience with Google Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
• 3+ years experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker
• 3+ years experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Google Deployment Manager)
• 3+ years experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Google Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Vertex AI, Gemini, Agent Development Kit (ADK), AI Agents, MCP/Plugins, RAG, Vector Search, Cloud Run, AI Security & Governance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Professional DevOps Engineer certifications
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices
• Experience with ETL/data pipeline and orchestration tools (e.g. Cloud Composer, Cloud Data Fusion, Dataflow and Dataproc)
• Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., Cloud SQL, BigQuery) and data management practices

Education

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or similar
• 1 year of professional work experience required for every year of college degree not completed, in addition to required years of experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$130,295.00 - $260,590.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
