Job summary

Vendelux is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in NYC to shape the technical strategy for our event marketing intelligence platform and lead a distributed, autonomous team. You’ll own features end‑to‑end, design scalable data pipelines, deploy services on AWS/GCP, and mentor engineers through code reviews.

This hybrid role requires four in‑office days at our NYC HQ and close collaboration with leadership. Strong communication, security focus, and IaC expertise (Pulumi preferred) are essential to

Qualifications

• Experience building complex applications with modern languages.
• Experience deploying services in AWS or GCP and managing data at scale.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Be the technical owner for features end-to-end powering data platforms and web app.
• Ship secure, scalable software with incremental deliveries.
• Coordinate roadmaps across product and frontend teams.
• Collaborate with operations, revenue, and users to plan features from feedback.
• Identify cross-stack opportunities to meet scaling needs.
• Define the product roadmap and technical strategy with leadership.
• Be a technical leader in an autonomous, cross-functional team.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and pair programming.
