Realtor.com in Austin, TX is seeking a Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to anchor the architecture of premium listing experiences and agent discovery surfaces across web frontends, APIs, and supporting services.

You will shape end-to-end system design, collaborating with Product, Design, and Data to deliver fast, accessible experiences that help consumers find homes and trusted agents.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience building consumer web apps and backend services.
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript, React, Node.js, GraphQL, and REST APIs.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Systems thinker designing end-to-end solutions spanning UI, APIs, services, analytics, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Experience with testing, observability, CI/CD, and release quality.
• Mentorship and technical leadership to raise engineering standards.
• Data-driven partner with Product and Data teams to run experiments and improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Define the end-to-end architecture for consumer web experiences and the supporting backend services.
• Design cohesive systems across React/Next.js frontends, Node.js services, GraphQL and REST APIs, experimentation layers, and observability.
• Improve Core Web Vitals, rendering performance, accessibility, resiliency, and software quality.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data to build differentiated listing experiences.
• Coordinate with partner teams on integrations, rollout strategy, and long-term direction.
• Lead design and code reviews and establish reusable patterns for other teams.
